PSYCHOHISTORY OF GAYATRI RAJAPATNI AS THE SOUL OF PANCASILA

Psychohistory is a study on motivation that can be developed into a socio-psychological concept which can explain the behavior of individuals, groups and community members. Psychohistory can convey the value of self-esteem that can be absorbed by the next generations. Using psychohistory approach, this study looks at the historical value of Gayatri Rajapatni. Her position as a Bhiksuni
has placed her as the Goddess of Wisdom and the great spiritual teacher in the palace. A number of historical sources mention that she was a supervisor and mentor of the Majapahit kings. When examined through motivational or psychohistoric studies, Gayatri had inheritated values of life which were beneficial for her people at that time. The soul of the values became the foundation of the next generations. Gayatri Rajapatni possessed the soul of Pancasila. As an historical actor, she had practiced the values of Pancasila in her everyday life. This study explains the values of Pancasila that Gayatri Rajapatni as a woman had embraced when Majapahit was all in its glory.
