Abstract

The diverse religious communities of Poso need religious characters such as solidarity, tolerance, and social care and other social values that make community harmony. One effort to build a tolerant society is through education. Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (Reinforcement of Character Education) is needed to transform religious values that make harmony in social life. This research has two objectives: 1) Identifying the implementation of religious main characters in Reinforcement of Character Education at the education unit level. 2) Analyzing the implementation of the main religious characters in Reinforcement of Character Educationin the education unit. The results showed that Reinforcement of Character Education religious in education units was implemented through three forms: First, through religious practices that tend to be dominant such as the implementation of rituals. Second, through religious social activities to instill an attitude of tolerance, social care and solidarity. Third, through literacy which tends to emphasize the reading of religious law rather than reading that raises the spirit of religion in the mastery of science and technology.
